Do you love the library? Consider becoming a Friend! The Friends of the Rosemary Garfoot Public Library is a community support group that draws members from across the village of Cross Plains and surrounding areas. The Friends work hand-in-hand with library staff and the library board to improve library services and bring new opportunities to the community.
Friends are people—people of all ages and all walks of life—who share a common belief that the public library is an indispensable cornerstone for our community's culture, its citizens, and especially its future generations. You can make our library better by becoming a Friend. Join today and continue to help our library grow and thrive!
Friends help the library by participating in a few key areas:
- Fundraising
- Raise funds for special programs, projects, and new initiatives at the library
- Organize fundraiser events like annual book sales, art auction, and more
- Volunteering
- Volunteer your time at Friends fundraisers and outreach events
- Volunteer at library programs or assist with projects when needed
- Advocacy
- Publicize, promote, and attend the library's programs and services
- Support the library budget at public hearings
- Raise awareness of the library within the community
- Protecting the Freedom to Read
- Support the library's efforts to furnish information on all sides of an issue
