Carpe Librum Book Club Carrie Soto Is Back banner

Join the Carpe Librum Book Club for its July meeting! Note that this discussion will take place one week later than normal due to the 4th of July holiday.

This month, our long-running fiction book club will be reading Carrie Soto Is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Carrie Soto is a tennis champion—arguably the greatest player in the world. So when a new young tennis star breaks Carrie's Grand Slam record 6 years after her retirement, she decides she needs to attempt one last year of Grand Slam tournaments to hold onto her title. This book tells the story of an athlete making an epic comeback, no matter the cost of greatness.

Copies of the book are available at the circulation desk one month before the posted discussion date. Registration is not required to attend the discussions, but if you would like to be added to the Carpe Librum emailing list, please contact kmckewin [at] rgpl.org.

Coffee Paint and Sip banner on paint palette

Spend your Saturday morning painting a relaxing nature scene! We'll provide the materials, the coffee, and a video to follow along to—you just bring your creativity! We will be using acrylic paints, which can be difficult to remove from clothing, so please wear items you feel comfortable getting messy in.

Registration is required. Please email kmckewin [at] rgpl.org (kmckewin[at]rgpl[dot]org) by July 16 to sign-up so we prep materials. This program is for ages 16+.
