Although many citizens may feel as if their vote doesn’t really count, there are plenty of reasons you should regularly hit the polls. No matter what side of the political divide you subscribe to, your voice is an important one.
The League of Women Voters has trained volunteers who will be joining us at the Library in February and March to assist people in registering to vote. The League is a non-profit, non-partisan, national organization whose purpose is to promote informed and active participation of citizens in government at all levels. Hours for the Rosemary Garfoot Public Library are:
February 20, Thursday 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.
February 25, Tuesday 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
February 27, Thursday 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.
March 5, Thursday 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
We also have staff trained to assist by appointment.
Assistance is also available at the following nearby public libraries: Black Earth, Mazomanie, Mount Horeb, and Spring Green. Click here to see dates and hours.
